GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - A 45-year-old Iowa woman has been arrested and charged with animal abandonment after nearly two dozen dead dogs were found in a cornfield northeast of Grand Island. …

A microchip implanted in one of the dead dogs led investigators to [Denise] Withee [of Mapleton, Iowa].
