“If he were 6-3 or 6-4, there’s no doubt in my mind he would have been recruited heavily as a quarterback,” Mooresville coach Mark Bless said. “He has a great understanding of the game.”
But [Trent] Mossbrucker knew his foot would be his ticket to Big Ten Conference football, always a dream. He impressed Iowa’s coaches at a camp last summer and accepted a scholarship offer, turning down Illinois and Indiana. …
